CONGRATULATIONS, COACH GAUNT

Congratulations to former Mercer Basketball League coach Derek Gaunt, who was named the Freedom High School Head Varsity Boys Coach.  Coach Gaunt was the freshman boys coach last season at FHS and formerly coached a MBL Girls Travel team.

  

  

LADY EAGLES SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION

Join the defending state champion Lady Eagles in their Summer 2009 Basketball Camp.  Rising 4th through Rising 9th Grade girls will learn the fundamentals of the game while having fun at this day camp held at Freedom High School in South Riding.  Camp runs July 27-31, and space is still available.  Click Here to download a registration form.   Cost is $150 for the week.  

  

NOTRE DAME ACADEMY SUMMER CAMP INFO

Notre Dame Academy (Middleburg, VA) is hosting three summer camp sessions for boys and girls ages 10-16.  Click here to download a registration form.   $150 per session Jun 22 - Jul 10.       

PLANNING BEGINS FOR THE 2009-10 SEASON

As we continue to grow, we are in need of additional members to assist in running the league. If you are interested in serving on our board, we are looking to divide some of the responsibilities, as well as to fill some seats that will be vacated at the conclusion of this season. We are in need of several division coordinators to help us with the organizing and day-to-day operations of the league. Our board meets several times throughout the pre-season months (late-Summer through October) to plan for the upcoming season, as well as providing vital communication between our coaches and the league leadership. REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration is easier than ever!  If you registered last year, all of your information is there.....all you need to do is to log in with your e-mail and password.  If you forgot your password, don't worry - the system will e-mail it to you.

Registration opens online July 1, 2009.

Registrants who sign up by August 31, 2009 will receive a $15 discount off the rates. (Discount applies only to the first child, each additional child receives a $25 discount as well.)

  

2009-10 Winter Basketball Rates:

1st Child:      $145

Add't Child:   $100

Late Fee:      $25 per child

Registration closes September 30, 2009 (except the High School program).  Waiting Lists will be formed starting October 1, 2009, and registrants will only be accepted as space allows.  Register before September 30, 2009 to guarantee a spot!

  

Note:  All posted fees include the mandatory Loudoun County Player Participation Fee, which was implemented July 1, 2009.

MERCER BASKETBALL LEAGUE SERVICE AREA

  

School boundary changes for the 2009-10 season have moved some of the Dulles South area kids to a new middle school. Those kids will in turn return to the new Middle School adjecent to South Riding in the 2011-12 school year. The Mercer Basketball League is committed to continuing to serve those affected by these changes. Mercer Basketball League's registration is open to all who reside in the Dulles South Area. We serve the following schools: Aldie ES, Arcola ES, Freedom HS, Hutchison Farm ES, Liberty ES, Little River ES, Mercer MS, and Pinebrook ES. Those kids who live in the Little River ES zone who will be attending Stone Hill MS this fall are also eligible to participate.
